After seeing the question regarding “how to name a file correctly to see the badges” repeatedly on the Zidoo Forum I’ve decided to take a deeper look inside the Home Theater App to figure this out.

Maybe you already know about it but I haven’t read it anywhere, just in case I will write.
My tests show that HT3 labels: h264, h265, Xvid, VC1 will not read from the file names when scanning.
Instead, he will read them after starting the movie. At the same time, he doesn’t read them from the content of the file (MediaInfo) but from the File Name.
Probably only from MKV files but AVI not anymore.
I could not get the Divx and MPEG-4 labels.
for example.
If the movie name is:
Charlie’s Angels (2019).mkv
after starting the movie, it will only show MKV, 1080p (resolution) and 23.976 (frames / second) labels, i.e. other information from the file cannot be read.
However, if the movie name is:
Charlie’s Angels (2019) 1080p Blu-ray h.264 Dolby 5.1.mkv
after scanning it will read 1080p, dolby 5.1 and MKV
and after the movie started, additionally h.264 / AVC and 23.976.
It does not matter what the movie is encoded (information from Mediainfo).
I tested on one movie, changing its name HEVC, h.265, AVC, h.264, VC-1, Xvid after starting the movie always read what in the file name even though the movie was encoded with h.264.
HEVC / H.265 – hevc, h.265
AVC / H.264 – avc, h264
XVID – xvid
VC1 – vc-1
In AVI files I could not get it, it does not read additional information after starting the movie, even if it is in the name.
“2.35” is not for audio but for video : it is aspect ratio.
The same for “2.20”.
You might be right, but this is how Home Theater uses the 2.20 and 2.35 label:

Or perhaps is it a test to show audio codec and aspect ratio with only one icon ?

Do you know how we can reset a movie in HT so the resolution and framerate badges disappear and show only the MKV one? If I delete a movie and re-import it, it keeps both resolution and framerate badges from previously. I want to reset this information so HT can rescan the specific movie when I play it. Is there a way to do that?
I have a question about the audio player. How do I force the disc cover and background to be displayed?

it is possible to add a symbol for av1 content in ht. At the Moment no video codec is displayed for av1.

With ZIDOO it goes more and more downhill. The user must do everything manually to make the files appear as they should. I don’t have as much problem with any other device as ZIDOO in file layout. For any other SW, I don’t have to add 1080p or 4K to the file name to recognize it.
I visit your site often, they helped me a lot. However, it should be the Zidoo developers, not the volunteers who are the pillars of this brand and often do a lot more work.
